چکیده

Fluoride is a toxic substance that can cause adverse effects on human health such as dental and skeletal fluorosis. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate adsorption potential fluoride from aqueous solution using eggshell pretreated with plasma technology compare untreated eggshell. The batch experiments were carried out their performances removal efficiency, capacity isotherm. factors contact time (5 - 360 min), adsorbent dosage (10 35 g/L) particle size (mesh sieve no.12 20 or 0.85 1.70 mm opening) studied. results showed initial concentration 10 mg/L, optimum condition for obtained at 180 min, 25 g/L Sieve no.16 (≤1.18 in diameter). With condition, maximum efficiency increased 59.88 % 90.34 %, which due an increase sites after surface modification process Moreover, clearly isotherm fitted by Langmuir model, indicate monolayered adsorption. 0.341 mg/g eggshell, while 0.202 This has application future needs further investigation continuous column. A Review on Adsorption of Fluoride from Aqueous Solution

Fluoride is one of the anionic contaminants which is found in excess in surface or groundwater because of geochemical reactions or anthropogenic activities such as the disposal of industrial wastewaters. Among various methods used for defluoridation of water such as coagulation, precipitation, membrane processes, electrolytic treatment, ion-exchange, the adsorption process is widely used. It of...

Adsorption of Zn (II) from aqueous solution by using chitin extraction from crustaceous shell

Removal of toxic heavy metals from wastewater is an important environmental challenge. In this Study, Zn (II) removal from aqueous solution by chitin extraction from crustaceous shells (shrimp and crab) was investigated. The biosorption studies were determined as a function of contact time, pH, initial metal concentration, and the amount of adsorbent. Adsorption of Zn (II) increased with decrea...
